I used this. I am VERY anal about how my self tanner looks. It's really the best I've ever used as far as going on evenly and color and smell. Also dries quickly so you can move on with your life. OH, AND you dont have to rub it in at all!!!! no orange fingers!!! Here is what I reccommend:1. shower and exfoliate knees, feet, elbows. etc. 2. the bottle doesnt say to do this, but I have been and I think it helps the tan develop more evenly-- immediately following my shower I towel dried and applied lotion to whole body. arms and legs especially ankles, feet, knees, hands and elbows. 3. Then immediately following the lotion I stepped into the shower and applied the spray- (stood in shower so i wouldnt get spray everywhere). making sure I was keeping the bottle far enough away from my body to get even coverage and to move the bottle quickly. I am a redhead so I don't tan, ever. I've been using the Mystic Tan at the tanning place but it costs $25 bucks per use, does NOT last a week like they say (2 days TOPS, as soon as you take a shower it starts to wash off), and it's impossible to get even coverage with the 10 seconds of spray they allow you - so you're always streaky somewhere.I am going on vacation in 2 days and of course I don't want to look like Casper on the beach so I thought I'd give this a whirl based on the reviews. I, of course, had horror stories running through my mind of turning into an oompa loompa, but thankfully that didn't happen! My tips: 1. Like the previous reviewer I showered before hand and exfoliated my knees, feet, elbows. etc. I recommend spraying it on maybe an hour or two before bed. I decided to give this a try last weekend when a group of friends and I were attending a little black dress event. You know how it is, you want a little color, so I thought ok why not! Let me say that the color came out beautifully! I even let one of my girl friends try it! It was so easy to put on with no mess, no worries about your hands turning orange or your nails. For the night it looked awesome, but the next day I decided that I would try it again.. I may have gotten a little carried away because it came out streaky and patchy.
