It doesn't smell like the others out there. I use it by itself for a few days to start and then I mix it in with my lotion I put on every day. It has spf 15 in it which is a plus. If you have dark to medium skin use the deep one it works better and gives you darker color. Remember to exfoliate! very important. I give this product a big thumbs up. I am going to be 50 and I keep getting compliments on how great my skin looks and how young I look. I started using this daily 6 months ago and find my skin glows a healthy glow, has a natural soft sun-kissed color not a tanning bed tan or some fake color. It is a white lotion so does not streak or stain my clothes. I have bought and tried oh so many self tanners. Nothing compares to this one. It has the spf right in it. It goes on nicely and keeps my skin soft. It lasts a long time. It doesn't wear off on clothing like others. I won't use anything else. I use it all year long as I go back and forth from New England to Florida each year.
